The Quiet Club's latest CD 'No Meat No Bone' launch PLUGD Sunday 28th Jan. 5pm. Guests Inma Pavon, Irene Murphy and James Fortune.
The Quiet Club the genre-defying duo of Mick O’Shea and Danny McCarthy have just released their new CD entitled “No Meat No Bone” on Farpoint Recording label. Recorded when they were on a residency in the highly prestigious Robert Rauschenberg Foundation in Captiva, Florida this much demanded second CD is at last available.
Comprising of five tracks ranging from eleven minutes to twenty one minutes it come in a specially designed and handcrafted 7” gatefold sleeve which contains especially composed texts, poems and photographs. It is also in a limited signed and numbered edition.
The work of The Quiet Club is invariably interdisciplinary ranging from visual art, sound art, improvised music to performance art. They have appeared worldwide including China, Japan, USA, Canada and most European countries. They often appear with especially invited guests which have included such luminaries David Toop, Mark Wastell, Stephen Vitiello, Steve Roden and Iarla O’Lionard to name but a few and in venues like Harvestworks ,New York to London’s Café Oto. 
Their first CD “Tesla” is now sold out and has become a much sought after collector’s item.
