"If Those Wall(papers) Could Talk" Sound Installation Fota House, Co Cork 9th -21st June This work was developed from research into the “Wallpaper Archives” housed in Fota House, Cobh, Co Cork Ireland. A site visit was arranged to the house which enabled me to view the extensive collection of wallpapers in the archives some dating back to the 18 th century. I was allowed view and touch several of these very rare specimens some extremely fragile. I recorded the sound of several of them. Many were textured whilst other were flat, smooth etc.. Each contained its own unique history whilst some were on the walls already and had been for some time thus creating a different surface and texture. Whilst there I also managed also to record the sound of a very old upright piano which was housed in the kitchen area. A Sound Walk for Culture Night in the town of Midleton. Led by the artist Danny McCarthy. McCarthy is vastly experience in the field of Sound Walks having led his first walk over twenty years ago and led walks all over Ireland and abroad.. The walk will take a circular route around the town where participants will be able to mindfully listen to the various sounds of the town old and new, big and small and develop a listening practice of their own. The walk will encompass sites that once had very different distinctive sounds associated with them to the sounds that are now there. The walk takes place at 7pm and gives plenty of time to attend other Culture Night events before and after. Coming soon so save the date

The Quiet Club LIVE @ The Quay Co Op The Quiet Club made a guest appearance at the opening of Ger Staunton's exhibition. We played a fifteen minute plus set with me on guitar, turntables and bells Mick on his assortment of magic objects. Thanks to Katie O'Looney for the video.
