The “Slow Listening” tour with Strange Attractor continues next Sat Oct 3rd in Sirius Arts Centre Cobh with “Sounds From The Other Side (Of A Safe Harbour)”. Strange Attractor continue to push the boundaries of sound and listening with sounds so quiet that you have to stop breathing to hear them and equally so loud that you cannot catch your breath and all the sonic possibilities and permutations in between . They are renown for their long durational performance which usually contain performance plus sound often lasting more than four hours where the audience are encouraged to move around the artists and to come and go as they please. 
They have toured extensively and performed in such venues as Studio Soto, Boston, Harvestworks New York and Café Oto London where they will be doing a residency next year. They have numerous releases of books, CDs and DVDs and all are available from Farpoint Recordings (
www.farpointrecordings.com ) where you can also obtain their free download of a publication on their USA tour. They often appear with a guest artist and this time they will be joined by Jed Speare currently artist in residence in the Guesthouse Cork and moving to Sirius artist in residence.
